Young people sport is heard, sometimes, complaining that they are given the chance to practice their language and outside the classroom. 'Why should I,' they say, 'so much time to devote to learning the language when it can not be used while you are out socially or in the workplace?'
Indeed, the right of them. Even the person who is to dovetail his Irish school leaving him, she will not have much to please sport him if he speaks it regularly. Great help, of course, to have access to the Irish media, such as Radio na Gaeltachta and TG4. But if there are good, certainly sport insufficient.
Not talking about professional speakers sport I have, people (like myself) who are working in the language or language students in third level colleges. sport No, a student from, but these people are doctors or computer technicians example they hesitated to acquire the discarding of leaving school.
Reason for optimism, perhaps, a settled part of the students in Enterprise - as well as people from the outside - people creating their own in 2010 that would allow them to use the language in context other than academia.
Football club involved sport and they baptized 'the protest' (to) them himself. If it is true that all poor start, there was a situation where that is unlikely as they managed to win any game during its first season. It went on, however, by training (and gaeilgeoireacht!), Regardless of the results on the pitch.
And is going from strength sport to strength sport since the club. There are four teams that year - two man football team (A and B), and women's football team hurling team. In addition, successful men and women A promotion get in the series last year.
Mix of players from Dublin but raised in Irish and people of the Gaeltacht (Connemara, the Decies etc..) And now live in the capital as well as students and past students of DCU and other third level colleges in question.
The protest will be the only club football / hurling IM in the greater Dublin or outside of the Gaeltacht, compete in the Gaeltacht Football Championship again this year, competition will be held in Moycullen in June.
