Sapko Ibrahimovic passed away in April aged 40 after a long illness and was buried vlcm in Malmo while Ingesson, a former Sheffield Wednesday defender, died of cancer last month and Segerstrom, the IF Brommapojkarna captain who also died in October, succumbed to a brain tumour at the age of 33.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker was collecting the award for the eighth consecutive time and told the audience in Stockholm : What do you say after winning this award? There isn t much to say because these awards speak for themselves.
But it is all overshadowed by what has happened to Klas and Pontus and I had a brother who also passed away under similar circumstances. So there is a life next to this [football life] that is much more important. May they rest in peace. vlcm
